With the current messy situation I have felt compelled to start building a couple the models that comprise my entire stash.
I haven't been around for a while, but some older members will remember that I work in the entertainment industry, which means I have not worked since the beginning of March and won't be in the foreseeable future. A job that depends on crowds, the larger the better, is not a good one to have at the moment
The model was built out of the box from the Revell 1/32 scale kit, as one of the 45 (yes, 45) He 219s found at Westerland Fliegerhorst at the end of the war. It is from one of the two production blocks that were finished with the black undersides.
For those that care about such things, the upper surfaces are painted overall in RLM 75 with a 'wellenmuster' or squiggle of late war RLM 76 (which looks a LOT like the British colour Sky). When the Smithsonian took the wings off their He 219 original paintwork confirming this scheme was revealed.
The thing is so large, bigger than a 1/48 Lancaster, that I could only take a couple of very rough and ready snapshots, but you'll get the idea.
This is a decent kit. There are no fit issues, it goes together nicely. There are some inaccuracies which might bother the purists, but I've never let such things ruin my fun.
Next I will be finishing a horrible half completed Special Hobby He 100. Because it is a previously abandoned project I won't do a build thread, but I'll get one up for whatever is next. It's not like I have anything else to do!

Edit: I forgot to say that although I put the requested amount of weight in the nacelles this model is a tail sitter. I have had to do an invisible wiring job to hold the nose wheel down on that board...bugger!
