Over the last few days I havent touched any of my planned builds and I havent even opened the cupboard door to look at them. One thing that isnt helping me is the ill feeling I have. Could I be suffering from SAD or is it because of the cold weather we are having or even the bouts of depression I sometimes have (the blues). So I think abit of time away from modelling may help or do anyone have a cure. Good jokes may help..... No christmas jokes.Bar Humbug!!!!

Two fish in a tank.

One says to the other, 'know how to drive these things?'

Hows that for starters?

You too! Seems there are quite a few feeling this way at the moment. could be the weather, Could be its getting near christmas, or, and I think this is the most likely, you just hit a wall. It happens to us all at some time or the other. There are two things to do realy. Step back and take a break, read a book or two, go play ing the snow. OR find a real challenge, something that you have never built.

I get a bit like it to at times, but at the moment there is not a lot else I can do due to health issues, so I dont stay away for very long. I think the longest I have gone with out a build on the table is about three days.

Just dont worry about it. You mojo will return, so dont get any daft ideas about selling your stash.

I would post a few jokes, but I dont think the forum police will find them funny......

If you feel the need, you are welcome to PM me.

Booo..... Anyway, I don't think you are on your own with the lack enthusiasm at the moment. I don't have answers but as a suggestion, why not look at your working environment. I know sometimes when I get bogged down, like now, I look at my desk and it is a mess. One of tomorrows jobs it to tidy up and get organised. I am really getting some tools and materials together at the moment rather than kits (OK, as well as kits) but I have so much stuff knocking abut, I really need to get myself organised and work out what I have really got and, for me more importantly, where it is!!!!!

I know most people are far more organised than me but looking at my desk at the moment, I couldn't build anything if I wanted to, it is a mess.

So even if you are so well organised you have your tweezers in alpha order, think about how you could change things so that you have a new working environment for when you are ready to start again. You know what they say, a change is as good as a rest.

Well here is one of my favourites, might bring a smile back and the return of your mojo?

A man went into an urologist and told him he was having a problem,

as he was unable to get his manhood erect.

The doctor checked him out then told him that the muscles around the

base of the organ were damaged from a previous viral infection and there was nothing he could actually do for him. However, he knew of an

experimental treatment that might work, if he is willing to take the risk. The treatment consisted of planting muscle tissues from an elephants trunk into his 'old fella'.

The man thought about it for a while. The thought of having to go through

life without sex was too much for him to bear. So, with the assurance

that there would be no cruelty to the elephant, the man decided to go for

it.

A few weeks after the operation, he was given the green light to go and

try out his newly renovated equipment.

As a result he planned a romantic evening with his girlfriend and took

her to one of the nicest restaurants in town. In the middle of dinner he

felt a strong stirring in his loins that continued to the point of being

extremely painful.. To release the pressure he unzipped his fly and his

knob sprang out, slid across the top of the table, grabbed a bread roll

and returned to his trousers.

His girlfriend was stunned at first, but then with a sly grin on her face

said, 'That was incredible! can you do that again?'

With tears in his eyes he replied, 'I think I can, but I am not sure if

another bread roll will fit up my arse'

Not just me then, havn't touch a model in about two weeks. I've lost all interest, thats why i havn't been posting, so i'm sorry for that lads. The snow doesn't help either, sick of seeing it now. Can't get out and about, the car's not going anywhere and me daughter stuck in Lincoln. In fact, i've started smoking again, i know i need a good kickin' for that. But it'll get better and things with just drop into place (i hope). And i'm saying nothing about christmas.

I think we all need be put in a bag and given a good shake from time to time.

A customer came into my workshop yesterday with a look that could kill. He plunked an item i sold him on the counter and said " i'm not happy".

I replied in my best customer relations ( yeh right) voice " well matey which of the seven dwarves are you then".

I've built nothing but WW2 planes for the last 12 months and got bored also. So i went and bought myself some armour. Never done one before and looking at the instructions it is something new to try. Also been thinking about doing a car or motorbike in the future .

As long as i don't have to resort to sitting down and watching 'STRICTLY I'M A NOBODY GET ME A JOB ON X FACTOR' Then you know their is no hope.

That's the spirit, just take it easy. no pressure just look at it from a different angle for a bit

Hi tony , just caught up with this thread, glad to hear your feeling a bit better about your modelling, were always here if you ever need any help ,whether its getting inspired or whatever, cheers tony

Hi tony, maybe something different to what youd normally do will help to get your spark back? I know you were asking a bit back about the sweet kits, well theres a shed load on e-bay finishing in about 6 hours, maybe one of these little beauties would be a quick tonic? , cheers tony

Oh plenty. Which one.....
Well i know from personal experience the bf109f star of africa boxing is an excellent pair of kits and any of the wildcat/martlets will be good too. I expect they all should be to the same standard , most of them (but not all) are two kits in one box too and theres also a few accessories such as carrier decks/lifts etc sometimes in a boxing with a kit. Ive always liked the look of the early hurricanes or the macchi mc200's, you could even go mad and get one of the cartoon cat crews!!!thats definitely something different! cheers tony

I'm a great believer in doing something that is a quick fix and is completely differnt to what you would normally make. It should be cheap and very quick and easy to put together to give you the biggest grin for the minimum input. It may end up in the kids toy box or the dog basket but who cares as long as it gets you kick started again.

I find something like a cartoon character works wonders.
