Very nice Wabble , have you made the key for thoses locks as well ?
Great improvements to an already fine model.
Thanks John and Jim, nah...it's going to be perpetually locked anyway. :smiling6:

Today I made the canvas straps with elastoplas to get the texture and wire. I'm painting it in khaki.

Then I got naughty and started on palm fronds again for my Pacific dio as it needs more strewn palm leaves.

Wabble , good to see another plam frond again. I tried those once ,not easy at all , so naturally impressed with yours .

love the idea for making canvas straps using elastoplast, never even thought about that ... :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:

Thanks John and Chris, the second time around seems easier for me too after getting the hang of it. There are two types of textures for elastoplast, get the finer one. Today is rest day for me.

Using elastoplast for canvas webbing is a new one for me Richard, nice additions on the scout car.

So much for rest day...more like restless so out came the paints and brushes...
Straps got painted Khaki with a bit of English Uniform for weathering...

Fabricated padding for the hatches...painted them separately and glued it on. The hatch still needs weathering and wash.

Hi guys, working on the bridge now. Just painted the wood texture in varying shades over the brown base using Deck Tan.

Will post more pictures after I apply more detailing to bridge and four brick posts.

Also painted the Dingo scratched areas and tail lights. Being a Police vehicle I wonder if it carried stowage. I know the Dodge would be carrying a heavy chest of wages for the plantation and tin mining workers.

I'll be switching the cigarette from the left to the right hand as that arm was supposed to be resting on his knee and not his side.

Looks like you have it sorted out Richard...looking for further developments on this Sir. :thumb2:

just simply remarkable Richard...your skills are amazing
Hey, thanks Joe,

Now the puttying of the sleeve, pocket and collar of just one side was a bit of a challenge on my first attempt. Will get the hang of it once I move on...

Now I've done the right sleeve, pocket and collar. Will work on the lanyard for the whistle made of braided thin wire.

While working on the sleeves I knocked off the rifles barrel which I will repair with wire and putty.

Cheers,
Wabble
