Richard, from good to very good to bloody amazing. Wish I had a fraction of that talent.
John.
Thanks John, I'm sure you have more but haven't shown us yet. Bring it on.
It seems your patrol has stopped for an aperitif and now they are reaching the apex of a crisis...

Hat and umbrella, please!
These fellas aim is pretty erratic so good advise on the hat and umbrellas for those in the front seats.

I have been busy with the flesh tones, these are just three...

Thanks Joe. It's making me stay up nights.

Yahoo! All figures ambushed painted.

Weathering the vehicles will have a problem...they're police so can't over dirty them. Definitely no rust and they travel on tarred roads.
Also they don't carry stowage gear...boring.

The figures go well together on the truck, be interesting to see everything together. Money bags Richard? At least the monkeys haven't made off with one!

Richard,
I am truly lost for words mate, this is an outstanding scene.
Thanks Scottie, I'm lost for time at the moment. Checking my notes if I've missed anything...stuff like the money bags are bad interruptions.
I know THAT feeling.... ;)
Yes Neil, it always comes when you think you're done.

They're more interested in the food across the road, Graeme. In the early days of the Malayan Emergency, police escorts were used to accompany estate managers transporting the estates wages...yum yum silver biscuits.

Only way of showing weathering is the seats which were olive drab canvas. Will matt everything down when finished. I have five No.5 Enfields in the dio.

Just had a good catch up on this Richard. I think I’ve run out of superlatives :flushed: The design and execution of this dio is as good as it gets in my opinion. The imagination you have shown (and continue to show) is just brill.

Thanks Tim, just realised I'm doing this in two years flat since rejuvenating an old base and bridge which is roughly 30 years old with a new idea and twist. It started out as just a bridge and tank on a raised road with no trees. Then in between it became one police vehicle checking the bridge for booby traps and then two years ago the stream meandered and became a waterfall. Trees grew taller then the monkey idea kicked in with an armoured car thrown in and so became an ambush.
This wouldn't have manifested if I build faster.

Cheers,
Wabble

Absolutely brilliant Richard. The idea, the models, the painting - all superb. However the monkeys must take top billing.

You must be wondering why am I up so early...am going to the Mosque to pay respects to a childhood friend who passed away last evening. I remembered him always saying I took too much time looking at my WIPs and should just get on with it. I will finish this tomorrow Kamal Hamidon or latest by Tuesday.

Richard.
