Good Luck Tim.
Mine left is starting to ache, so will be interested in your recovery.
John
I’d get your marker in now John. It took the best part of a year to get to this once I finally got an orthopaedic referral, and it has deteriorated quite quickly over the last few months. See your GP and talk it up. Don’t downplay or you will just get offered physio like I originally was. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the most grease, and it’s a very common operation these days. I’m expecting to be out of hospital and back home tomorrow night 👍

Be thinking of you tomorrow Tim. All will go well I'm sure. Just leave the nurses alone😁

Only just caught this one Tim , been away. You’ll probably have had the op by now but best wishes regardless , cheers tony

Cheers guys. Op now done and it only hurts when I laugh, or bend, or move in any way LOL. Pain was high to start with, but is gradually reducing thanks to industrial strength painkillers. Hard day tomorrow though, visit the physiotherapist and be run through the torture regime. Should be back home after that though. Looking forward to more sleep once I have my midnight intravenous antibiotics.

Anyone else out there that might need this….just get it sorted. The operation itself was really smooth and easy. The pain block epidural was superb and the whole thing was stress free due to the relaxation meds I got given at the same time. Mind you though, they did have to put me lightly under at one point because I got a bit carried away listening to the music they put on the headphones to basically dull the noise of the op. Love me a bit of Bebop deluxe, and Live in the air age is a great record…. Night all
