Nice. Where are they from?No progress due to 12 hour days but these arrived in the post today. Modern trucks appear to have black pipes with just the ends coloured but that’s easily sorted

Thanks to Gary for putting the link in but beware Ian they have some really nice military stuff on there :smiling5:Nice. Where are they from?
Thanks for looking in and putting the link in Gary
Nearly done now Lee.Nice updates Mick frame looks good. Hope you get off these long hour shifts and get rest and some model time in.

Definitely a challenge but one your up to. It just means lots of clean up, fettling and dry fitting. Those 12 hour shifts must really restrict bench time.Still battling with parts on the older sprues as you can see from the pic, but it adds to the challenge.
Thanks Jim, the fettling definitely slows the progress but not quite as much as work :smiling5:Definitely a challenge but one your up to. It just means lots of clean up, fettling and dry fitting. Those 12 hour shifts must really restrict bench time.

Thanks Lee, getting there slowlyNice updates Mick.
Cheers Ian, totally agree that’s why I’m not going much further with it.Coming along nicely. Motor looks pretty good. Almost a shame to hide it...

Sounds very much like my italeri truck Mick. I haven't done so much filling & sanding in my last 10 kits combined! This really is the kit that just keeps on giving. It’s giving me headaches, nightmares and the ability to get very constructive with swear words. It really isn’t one for people who like rapid progress but like to get the parts together so they look good. So far every two part piece has required quite a bit of extra work on fit and seam lines.
I Have been warned time to look at the horrors awaiting me in the boxSounds very much like my italeri truck Mick. I haven't done so much filling & sanding in my last 10 kits combined!
Looking good though!
Totally agree Andy there’s hardly a part that hasn’t required some fettling, I’m hoping the cab will be much easierSounds very much like my italeri truck Mick. I haven't done so much filling & sanding in my last 10 kits combined!

Go for it PeterI Have been warned time to look at the horrors awaiting me in the box
I think you’re right Ian, minimal competition so if you want to build trucks here we areYou are beating it though.
I am concluding that the fact that Italeri have pretty much the market in these, they are resting on their laurels.
Mine is also a bit of a flash kit. The fit is pretty good though.
You can beat this Mick.
I shall rise to the challenge, so much sanding and altering parts to fit. I'm hoping the actual can section will fly together :thumb2:I feel your pain Mick, the Italeri Scania Topliner I built on my return to modelling nearly put me off but with a bit of effort they turn out nice. Yours is looking good.
Andy.
just little steps with this one Michael, lots of dry fitting and alterations. This one is going to be a European version. I have a right hand conversion kit as I was planning another UK Scania but we shall see how my sanity survives.Just caught up on your build, I think the twist in the chassis stems from the first days of production. I remember all of Italeri's trucks had it. Keep at it Mick, watching with interest. Will it be a UK or European truck?
