All looking really good. As others have said, shame about the belts experiment. However, I reckon there's mileage yet in that idea.

Thanks for the comments gents as they are much appreciated. No pics but a nightmare of a day with the decals. Not sure how long my mate had had the thing in store but the decals looked fine. The Tamiya instructions stated 10 seconds in tepid water to free them off, NO, it took several minutes for the first one to free up enough to be applied. I wasn't overly bothered at this stage as there's not that many to apply, then disaster, one of the main wing roundel's came free but in bits :sleeping2: there was no saving it unfortunately. A quick look on a well known auction site and some ordered. Nightmare two, when the first main fuselage decal eventually came free I started applying it to the fuselage and it too started to break, I managed to get it on but not happy as it's not level and needs some paint to sort it. I had already got ID numbers on so didn't want to try and get these off to start again so that will have to be its dark side. I shall crack on now with the weathering and detail painting including the clear parts and report back soon.

Got some weathering started but still waiting for the new decals to arrive. I’ve assembled the two crew figures I’m using, the detail is superb and they are very easy to clean up.

First fit problem with the build, the undercarriage struts were too wide to fit into the bottom of the wheel wells, bit of filing and in they went. Replacement decal applied and remaining parts fitted. Starting to look something like now. Another short break as we’re off to Sussex for the grandsons christening.

Hi Mick
Looking really good. The cockpit is superb. Shame the seat belt decal experiment didn't work. Old decals are odd. Some still work and others do what yours did and disintegrate. Figures look nice.

Many thanks gents for commenting. Almost on the final straight now with this but works in the way. I’ve started on the two crew figures and the base, times just flying by

Thanks Peter, just a bit of touching up, 1/48 faces aren’t my favourite, or 1/35 ok faces in general
