A bit more done ......... The engine is all in one piece ready for the fuselage ......... A little paint, some dry bushing, and a brown wash ........... When it's in the fuselage you'll only see the end of it, but the destructions said to paint it...... So I did......... and a couple of the turbine blades ended up a bit short getting them off the sprue. But you can't see the buggers anyhow all the way inside, so I'm not to fussed on it..........

Nice weathering there Peter, like the smoke burnt look you have achieved, good wear and tear of an engine bay

Regards

Robert

Looking good, like the wash on the engine. How do you rate this kit Pete?

Cheers

I like Eduard kits (only ever done WW1 aircraft) That IP looks great, nice work on the engine too. The last 21 I built was many years ago and I reckon it was a Matchbox kit. I probably built it in an afternoon ! I'm very interested to see how the Eduard comes out.

For my rating, I rate this one highly if you are after Mig 21s. Just watch out for unexpected fit, around the wings. This was one of eduard's kits released some time after the 190s, and over-engineering was something of an eduard trend. Should not be a problem if you match everything right though.

Thanks Phil........... So far it looks good. The detail and fit is spot on. As I'm not far into it it's a bit early to judge.......... I'll keep you all posted.

I'll watch this thread. I've build their ProfiPack, but ver R and must say that was one of the best kits I've ever build. No troubles whatsoever and I'm planning to buy another one, making in Cuban markings.

I have the Cockpit sides done ........ I'm getting the hang of the PE a bit (positive mental attitude)......... and I've dry fitted them into the fuselage halves and ....... I'm surprised the are a near perfect fit :D .......... The sub assembly for the retracted wheel wells is finished and ready to fit ............ I have the bulkheads in one of the fuselage halves.......... Some primer, slap some paint around on the inside and I can button it up.

The "Things have gone Pear Shaped seat" is done........putting it together was a little tricky as the destructions aren't too clear on a couple of things ........ Painted in Grey acrylic and a bit of dry brushing in Mitiltary Green ...... Once that's dry I think we can start fitting things into the fuselage half.

........and I've started on the Pilot.
