Any tips for painting non-chromed mirrors.

I've been using silver paint, but is there a better way? Its a bit small to be cutting up bits of tin foil, but i might give it a go next time?!!

Humbrol Metalcote polished steel. Paint the mirror surface. Polish. Job done.

Yer ok it sounds easy and actually not that hard.

Once the paint has had at least an over night to dry, put a soft cloth on the table, hold the part in twezers if its really tiny and rubit up and down the cloth a few times.

It really does give a good shiny surface!!! OK you cant se detail in the mirror but it really catches the light!

dave, something i have used for the rear view mirrors on aircraft is the chrome silver xmas sticky tape(ok, i know its the wrong time of year!!)If you stick it on to a thin piece of plastic card and then cut it to shape . ill attach a pic but its only just visible, but it does look very realistic , honest! Check out the unconventional materials thread in quick tips section its on there too plus loads of other great tips . hope this helps, cheers tony:plane:
