Picked up this chap from SMW at the weekend, MMM 120mm Drop Order - Available here https://www.mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk/product-page/120mm-us-airborne-normandy-1944

Comes well packed in the trademark black cardboard box with a print of the item on the front;

I have removed all the pour stubs and cleaned all the parts;

You have the choice of two sets of arms with different badges for the left arm and a 'flagged' or non 'flagged right arm.

Here he is put together;

He has a very determined look on his face, not sure if the lump over his left eye is supposed to be there or not;

Helmet strap is nicely produced as well;

The big part of the kit the door and bit of fuselage, floor and internal beams for the floor;

The floor, side and beams glued together and the soldier just put in place;

Very nice Steve, I'm looking forward to seeing how the painting comes out.

Ordered a new needle for my Iwata Eclipse from air-craft.net and it arrived today !, so clean of the airbrush body and back in business, dont think leaving cleaner in the brush is a good idea, as seems to seize the brush up. anyway, i started by black basing the whole frame;

Then misted on the interior green colour on the interior and also added a marbling to the external skin;

Olive drab misted on and then sprayed some Tamiya flat aluminum, bit of a shock as spraying Tamiya paints does not produce any fumes, but boy o boy the aluminum does !;

Bit of aluminum sprayed onto the interior;

Will leave to dry for 24 hrs and will then give the whole thing a gloss varnish coat so the weathering and oils can be added.

Got the C-47's fuselage complete, after a gloss coat, Tamiya black liner was used around the door and internal structures, then using the oil dot technique, subtle shades were added to the external skin, then a coat of matt varnish and finally dust and dark mud pigments were added;
