Good to see from you again Graham.

I hope things are going well and as for the modeling? It will come back to you. I hear it's just like riding a bike.

I dont always take the easy route its always the harder they are I enjoy building them also I bought Trumpeter Su-25 Frogfoot A 1:32 and I think the grand total of model kits I have is £1700 worth to build so guess who will be busy then plus I will trying to look for a job in between and no doubt I will find a couple of bargains at Leuchairs Airshow later next month.

I am just starting again after along lay off.

It's hard to get going, nervous about loss of skills, etc.

I suppose the first splash of paint on the wheels and cockpit detail will bring it all back.

If I muck the first one up, there are plenty more to go, I suppose.

People on these modelling forums are not very chatty, compared to the Guitar forums.

I suppose you are too busy super detailing that model on your bench.

Hopefully I will be too occupied painting fine detail too bother with forums too.

When I visit various other forums, there is something new every few minutes.

On the various modelling forums I have joined recently, the response time is days.

It's like slow motion, or no motion at all.

ps. at least you read my post.

Hear from you again in two weeks ( where did you get that icon, scarey)

Hi All

I Find this forum very chatty. I look on the forum most days and there is always activity. Obviously people are building kits and due to other commitments can't always be making posts. But that's the nature of the hobby.

It is not a criticism, more of an observation.

It indicates the different personalities that frequent the web.

Guitar forums, for example, seem to be extremely active, whereas model forums don't.

This forum, however, is great to use as a library, there being a wealth of modelling tips available if you search.

I hope I can get my modelling up to the standard of many examples I've seen here.

I was reasonably good, but can always improve.

I agree Vaughan, I reckon once I start those models, the laptop will get a lot less use.

Keep at it Graham and don't get to stressed, after all its meant to be a hobby one can unwind, I know that's what I get out of it after a hard day at work. would be good to see some photos of progress as others can learn from watching, have a think about it, its a friendly place and from experience its only positive comments and support around here!Look forward to seeing your work and welcome back to the foldRich
