Due to my stepdaughters marriage breaking down and the very high cost of living in Chichester where she lived she has moved north with our 7month old granddaughter and moved in with us. The first thing to go was my modelling space, swmbo calls it a spare bedroom but that's women for you. I'd forgotten just how much stuff a baby comes with which has taken over the house. I've nowhere to do any large scale modelling but do have a small supply of war gaming figures to keep me busy when I can get to the kitchen table. Hopefully there will be some new ACW figures to show soon including artillery and cavalry. keep up the great work chaps.

Hi Mick
Family first. Hopefully all will come good in the end.
Jim

So sorry to hear about your stepdaughter's problems Mick. When my daughter comes home with her 13 month -old, everything stops - complete baby chaos, so I know what you're going through.

Hopefully the kitchen table will suffice for some of the smaller scale stuff. Chin up.

Hi Mike sorry to hear that stay strong, everything will work out in the end.
Pete

Hi Mick, yes family comes first. Clearing and disinfecting the room for the baby is top priority. Hope the war gaming figures will keep the baby chaos off your mind. :smiling4:

Cheers,
Richard

I used an old Gilbert chemistry set wooden box for modeling tools/paints & current build that lived on top of the refrigerator before I got my own modeling space. Still have the box. PaulE

Mick,
Family comes first but sounds like a good excuse to get a new garden shed to escape to if nothing else :tongue-out3:

Sorry to hear about your stepdaughters troubles, family first indeed and hopefully all will be ok soon.
Good thing our hobby is many sizes…:smiling:

Sorry to read Mick about your stepdaughters troubles, and your loss of modelling space..
But having a granddaughter move in could be the best thing for her. Lots of support will be given I'm sure.

Hi Mick
Sorry about the issues, hope it gets resolved soon. Family outranks everything else :smiling3: Best thing about wargames figures is that a small box of paint, a few brushes, and a pot of water covers nearly everything you need. Throw in a couple of files and knives for cleaning up and you can work very successful anywhere you can unfold a newspaper. I had to box my room up during our recent move and painted about 250 15mm ACW rebel figures like that. The lack of benchtop distractions actually pushed me along much faster than usual.....

Sorry to hear about the family problems. I hope things are getting sorted. Look forward to seeing you back at the bench when you can. Take care my friend
