What do you use to cover modroc , just paint it or any concoctions?

Aaah....... I just use cheap acrylics from the hobby shop..... Cis they are so cheap, water dilutable and easy to mix custom colours
I would add some PVA into the water you use to activate the modroc. It will toughen up the shell and stop it flaking. I use PVA in any plaster I use for gaming bases for that very reason. Blast from the past this though, haven’t heard of it being used for years. I think it started out as plaster of Paris bandage in the medical arena and was repacked for railway modellers.
