Hi all, I seem to have lost my mojo since finishing the Belvedere so am taking a break till after the new year to recharge my batteries. Hope to restart some of my half baked builds or work on the Egyptian Mig15 for a local Arab GB. Merry Christmas...I think I ought to pop over to Chris's post and wish you all there too.

Cheers,
Wabble

Good luck on the hunt for your 'mojo' Richard. Seems a few have mislaid it at the moment!!

Enjoy your break and recharge your batteries: I'll be glad to see you back with your fantastic modelling soon.

A very happy Christmas to you and yours Richard. I am sure your mojo will return strongly in 2024 and we will all be able to enjoy your work again.

Worry not about the loss of mojo Richard, I've been slowly plodding along with a 1/35 Academy MIA2 Abrams for the last couple of months or so, clearly lacking in mojo to get it 'sped along' and finished... taking time away from modelling is good for the soul..

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours.

I know the feeling, been there...
Now just waiting to get more inspiration...

Enjoy Xmas and the new year....

If you find it, could you send some around to me. Right now I’m working up some more little blokes, but with no enthusiasm at all. It all feels more mechanical rather than enjoyable. Hoping the enthusiasm comes back as the weather improves….

It's probably time to try something completely different for a while Richard, wishing all the best though mate.

I've got time so will try to answer all the replies. It's the Christmas season I guess for the slow down Doug, but trust me after boxing day building might pick up.

Thanks, if I can get off Christmas preparations Andrea.
Hopefully a short break will fix the lack of mojo, normally works for me :smiling:
It all depends Si, I've got to relax a little and it might come back.

And a very Merry Chrimbo to you and yours as well Jim. I hope it hits before 2024.

Same to you Chris, I think it was the long stretch of detailing that done me in. Need a short build if I don't get itchy fingers to get me started.

Will try Michael, I've got to settle on one idea and work on it...just too many kills the mojo for me.

I wish I could be Santa and drop one into your stocking Tim. You're lucky to have four seàsons...we're sunny all year round with the occasional thunder storm to spice things up.
Same to you mate, looking forward to see what the New Year brings!

Looking forward to the new year too Steve.

Is cooking completely different? Stuffing is done once a year and that might just do the trick...best to you too Garry.

Happy Christmas and MoJo NewYear. Wabble .

Seems many of us feel that way. Maybe the time of year. I do a couple of hrs then had enough.

Ah! The run up to Crimbo mojo slump.
Yup, that could be it Ian. It's also the time where many suffer loneliness in the developed world so call out to any friends you know who are alone and if possible invite them to join your friends and family for a get together.
Trouble is mine started in late September, not xmas related at all.
Tim, your symptom isn't that strange. Just don't force it. Take as long a pause and look up from the table and try something that you've always wanted to do and then we'll see if the mojo returns naturally.

And to you too. Sticking just one bit or referencing and reading up on the subject works for me John.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the concerns and ways to locate the mojo whereabouts, apparently it was hiding in 2024. Finally got my reflective paper to replace the mirror which for some reason just didn't look right in the Belvedere dio. The thickness of the mirror made a distinct 1 mm depth all round the edges so here's to the correction that I'm going to attempt. It also will hide the crack that the mirror had developed. Remind me to by Ikea next time.
Also I have started on the fire extinguisher and trolley. No pictures though until I get my phone repaired, the cats pushed it into their water bowl which was below the cabinet I put it on.

One of the mojo urges is weathering the Revell PT 109 I have sitting on the shelf. Haven't touched that since deciding to put it in a diorama.

Also will dabble in painting my Bedouin and donkey and the Afrika Korp figures.

The Mig15 is in the midst of scribing...lovely old Monogram kit.
When it rains, it pours doesn't it.

Hope you guys are having a good start to the new year.

Cheers,
Wabble

Glad you're ready and raring to go Richard, like you I've decided to finish off the plethora of unfinished projects laying around my cave - one of which is the Bedouin and Afrika Korp diorama - look forward to picking up some tips from you!
