Excellent build I would say.

Love the way you have highlighted panels, still have a lot to learn.

Ive been waiting to see this one Ian. Like dave I love the later monogram kits , a lot of them were excellently detailed for their time and can still hold their head up today. I reckon the decals should be ok , I like the look of the big red lightning flash! cheers tony
Well Tony the decals are shot, no matter how long I left the decals in to soak they wouldn't come off the backing paper and I couldn't get the black ink off either.

So some more are on order as we speak ( well type anyway )

I am liking this a lot. I want one of these think a request will go in to swmbo for my birthday

Yes gone for the same decal option but from extra decal so should be a lot better than the really old ones I've got

If this is of interest, 'Flypast' magazine this month have done big feature on the 'Hun' with some really good photo references! :)

Thanks Tony and Joe

I did have a little problem with the big red flash decals both of them split after putting them into the water, i think it was just the size of them curling slightly when wet.

That's a spectacular set of markings.Must have been for some special event?.
I don't know if it was for a special event Dave all it say's about them is it's Col. Raymond Toliver Wing Commander of 20 TFW RAF Wethersfield in 1957

I'd say they were pretty standard markings for the day. Shiny aircraft with colourful markings was all the rage. Colonel Toliver died in 2006. He was best known as a military historian and was responsible for many reunions between Luftwaffe and Allied pilots in the Post-War years. He wrote 'The Blonde Knight of Germany", the biography of Eric Hartmann.
