Erm, ok, not quite sure where they are going with this though TBH?

Sorry should have added, their proposed new release in Aug 26 will be "Flowers".....yeah...... flowers!
I mean, its different, but not something that would really float my boat TBH.
Whats next, costume jewellery?

I would have thought it was an april fool if it wasnt January ! Mind you Lego recently brought out flower sets too so it must be right . Still strange though .

Well, there were the 1/1 bird kits back in the day... NOW I wish I'd got them
BTW the Lego flower sets are really something and do sell well
I do applaud Airfix for market expansion experimentation

Considering Airfix used to include birds and other natural subjects in their catalogues, I think this is an excellent idea. Plenty of scope for imagination and artistic paint work. Tamiya did dinosaurs for example. Flowers may not prove be best sellers among military and vehicle builders, but anything like this which introduces people to scale modelling in whatever form it takes, has to be a positive for the hobby as a whole. I would consider grabbing some Airfix flowers to get arty with my airbrush

Personally I think it’s a good idea too, as Joe already said Airfix used to have a few natural type kits in the range.

I agree they may appeal to people who wouldn’t normally be inclined to think about trying modelling.

I might give them a go, I hope they bring back the birds too at some stage too.
