MS-1 (T-18)

That's a tricky bit of "putty" engineering there Artyom......Those gussets look considerably stronger than what the kit provided. Should do the job nicely. Rick H.
Yes, this element is very simplified in kit. And chassis etc. Hopefully I have an correction kit.

Cracking work on that front casting Artyom. You’ve already lifted this kit several levels with that detail.

Well, I think nose part is ready. That was interesting work. Now I need dozens of bullet-proof rivets. Thanks to my friend Timur Pakuro. He sent me brilliant photos of MS-1 from Padikovo. This is the most accurate MS nowadays. And Timur is one of the most famous and best AFV photographer in Russia.
Note this photos. These moments were missed by Hobby Boss. And this is only the beginning.

Hi Artyom.
Caught this in time, that's a vast improvement to the model already. Can see this being another one of your master classes. Will take a seat .

Hi, friends! We are going further. Unfortunately Hobby Boss disappointed me. I am not amazed but improvements will take much more time that I have expected. Something went wrong with rear hull. Totally.
You can see it on this pictures. Work has been started.

Yes,John! Very nice stuff and owner is my good friend!

Hi Artyom, I suspect the lower hull was made that way to make it easier to mass produce it by the kit manufacturer. They would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for your "Eagle Eye" and attention to detail. The road wheels and return rollers were just a "Cheap out".....I am certain that you will have this "minor" setback taken care of in short order. Rick H. ;)

There were different versions of the MS-1/T-18 suspension. For example, some road wheels had holes in them, like Hobby Boss provides:

This also seems to have much thinner spring tubes and wheel arms that look like tubes, both again much like in the kit. Whereas what Artyom is building appears to be a beefier version, like this:

Thank you Rick for support! This is not well known vehicle indeed. I think I will gather with it but I will need time. Hobby Boss chassis really look creepy:smiling2:

Oh I afraid it all bad replicas. Dozens of it in Russia and only 2 completed tanks unfortunately. There were 2 versions of the tank excluing version with big turret with 45mm gun. Little differences between versions were in chassis.
