OK enough is enough.

Bloody typical the one time I think I will have a go at the liquid mask chipping method my and my Bottle Of Humbrol Liquid Mask has dried up. 2/3 of a bottle fit for the rubbish bin. Just not good enough guys!!!

Mind you I brought it in Beatties and gave the huge sum of £1.15 for it. I think I was about 18 at the time....:-(

The scary bit is I have Humbrol paints that are almost as old and still usable!!!!

I've got some Humbrol paints dating back to the early nineties and they are still useable.I find they last years if the lids are on tight.Im not a big fan of maskol ian.I prefer the Revell version.I've got a bottle of the Microscale version which i find sticks to the model too well for my liking.Always have trouble removing it.

See now that was a good tip. I was going to try Microscales as I am happy with their other stuff. Now? Not so sure.

Anyone tried the one from Vallejo? If its as good as their paints, it must be ok.

So own up who uses what liquid mask?

I use the revell. smells horrible but seems to work well when doing canopies and paint chipping. and comes off ok. i find letting it dry fully means you can handle it a little too.

cheers

Si :)

I've got a bottle of the vallejo, it's ok, but in all honesty I have no comparison, I've not tried any other. It's tricky to place accurately but dries quickly and peels away easily.
