I'm in the process of the BoB SSIG and I've been doing one British plane and one German plane I intend to do all the aircraft that played a part in the Battle of Britain and I'm nearly finished my spitfire but can't decide on which Luftwaffe plane to do next the three I have at the moment are View attachment 106356

I will have to get decals for the 111 and the 110 but that's not a problem

So it's up to you chaps to decide :)

The heinkel for me Alan. I've got one in the stash which I can't see me building for a while but maybe you can provide some inspiration :)

Cheers Jason , I don't know if inspiration is the word I would use it depends on how good the kit is if it's bad it might end up as crashed in a field lol

The Heinkel will be the most challenging of the three. The two Eduard kits are both good but for me the Bf 110 would be the choice, simply because it is less often built than the Bf 109 :)

Cheers

Hi Alan I got this kit a while ago and it's bloody huge pardon the French. I think mine though is the he111 that only has 3 machine guns ( 1940 ) the nose section is still not attached and the glazing is all masked but it is a huge aircraft kit to say the least ( sitting on top of my display box unfinished ( want to make it the h6 or latter and trying to find 1/32 V1 doodlebug. As far as I remember the fit is not too bad although the wing join did require some filler. The cockpit is very detailed and lots I mean lots of glazing. Maybe if you get this built I could make a re start on mine

Cheers guys I've got a few weeks before I start this anyway but the general feeling is the 111 by the looks of it :D

I'd like to see the HE111 built. Should be good to build as its a modern Revell kit.

Hi Alan just checked and mine is the earlier P-1 that was brought out a while ago by Revell but best of luck with the H-6

Hi Robert, the nearest I'm aware of would be the Bronco Models 1/35 scale V-1. I'm not sure about the availability of the kit, it first came out about 6 or 7 years ago IIRC.

If you are interested in the air launched V-1 campaign then I highly recommend Peter Smith's 'Air-Launched Doddlebugs, The Forgotten Campaign' (ISBN 1-84415-401-7) which gives a good account of the action. It is not so good for the technical details of the aircraft involved. Of course you may already have read it :)

Cheers

Looks like this is going to be the flying greenhouse as Patrick so eloquently put it :D

It's big and green.... I'll take a Heineken! Lol

I like all those kits..... Dunno which one, but the heinkel wins out by being big... lol
