I just saw this upcoming Netflix production, Operation Mincemeat. If you have access this looks like it could be interesting. I remember the original The Man who Never Was>

I’ve seen that mentioned as well. I think it would have to go some to beat the original film. That was a very honest and accurate portrayal of the actual events. Unfortunately I don’t have Netflix so unless it goes on sky, or later, on BBC or such, I probably won’t be able to see it to compare :disappointed2:

If it's the new film with Colin Firth in the lead role then I saw it at the cinema a couple of weeks ago. Good film. I was reminded slightly of Darkest Hour and wondered if it's the same production people....

I read the book a few years ago , also saw the old 'Man who Never Was ' too. Both interesting - an amazing true life story! We went to see the latest version at the cinema last week and can recommend it, even though I knew the story it was well made and acted.
