A lot has been said recently about getting an doctor's appointment and how hard it is, also the back log in hospitals.
Last night I suddenly realised my left hearing aid had unfortunately parted company from the main body and left the pick up and dome inside the ear .
Following a rather uncomfortable night mainly thinking about how it would be able to be removed I turned up at our local A & E spot on 09:00 opening , by 09: 20 I was out side with the hearing aid part expertly removed and with out any pain .

Top service from our local hospital, admittedly small but perfectly run.

All credit to them and glad you're ok. I think the service you get varies considerably depending on where you are.

Couldn't fault it Tim, lovely receptionist who said don't worry it's quite common and equally pleasant nurse .

Think your right there Jim, luckily the local hospital which Peterborough district hospital wanted to close was kept open after a long battle . Small and friendly , it's all well and good having centers of excellence spread all over the country but miles from where lots of the population live .
