Hi all,

This will be my first post on the forum and hope it is the start of a longtime membership. I am Ringo, I live in Belgium and build planes ( jets and props ) exclusively in 1/48 scale. I've been doing this since 2015 after a friend introduced me to the hobby.

I am also a WW2 enthusiast so started to build WW2 planes but in the meantime, I certainly enjoy making both recent and older jets... In recent years, I’ve been trying to alternate between jets and props and i finish 4-5 projects each year...

I started building these models pure as a hobby but i can now say that it became a real passion and it helped me through some difficult times in my life...

I had a instagram account but but grew tired of it because, too much information and things that had nothing to do with our hobby so closed my account and started looking for a nice place to meet other builders and get inspired...

You should be safe Ringo, about the most contentious it gets here is whether or not it’s hairy stick or airbrush for the win! - but only ever politely and with respect for both. We’re just not very good at argument, but some are very good at model making which is what counts of course.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! So a group of funny, warm, enthusiastic, hairy stick or airbrush using model builders, What a wonderful group of people that must be! To cut straight to the chase, I am a airbrush model builder, never used a brush to paint my models but i saw some very nice brush painted projects in the past...

I will post my projects in the future, that is a promise. Now I am building a belgian F-104G so once that it finished that’ll be the first project I’m showing

The 104 looks great in Belgian scheme, have 2 of them in a nearly finished state (1/48 and 1/32), it's a lot of masking and stencil decals! Looking forward to your model. Have fun - Cheers
