Just tried painting Molotow Liquid Chrome Refill straight from the tube, generously, and -

If it cures like that (and I have no reason to believe it won't), I'll be well happy!

That looks spectacular Paul. It’s great for a brushed finish. The only applied finish I’ve seen that could match that is bare metal foil. Alclad paint gets similar results, but it needs to be sprayed which is not really possible here.

My only concern is the fragility of the finish. I think Molotow Liquid Chrome is easily smudged for some time after application - but I don't know whether it cures completely in time, or whether it takes days or weeks to do so. I'm also chary of trying to seal it with anything, so at the moment the plan is to just leave it well alone and try not to touch it as I proceed with the rest of the bust.
