What happened to all those kit manufacturers ?

According to scalemates gakken and edai are still in business...... Ertl is part of amt so still in production...... Nitto went kaput in 1985, otaki in 86, entex in 81, nichimo in 2013

Bandai is very much in business these days

Wonder what Bandai are into these days ?
They did make some rea!lly nice large scale car kits years ago, and a gentleman's engine.
