Off colour - may not be at the bench for a while............

Been for an Aortic Aneurysm scan today - all OK, but a bit of an uncomfortable process! Now waiting on blood test results.....................
Dave
I had one of those Dave, and yes, they did press really hard. Pleased it was OK (as was mine).

Hi Dave
That's good news. Best wishes for the blood test.

Thats great news, been watching 'Surgeons: At the Edge of Life on BBC Two' and i never realised how important the Aorta is to sustaining life in the human body.

Dave. Take care of your self and we’re all behind you. In the mean time look at the beautiful model collection you have that should take your mind off things

Well, it seems that Iron Deficiency Anaemia is the cause of me feeling unwell. The Doc had suspected this, but blood tests confirmed it. So, I've got a prescription for some high strength iron supplements. I'll pick those up later today..................... Plenty of warnings about side effects , most of which are distressing, rather than dangerous & some advice on diet. I will go back for another blood test in a few weeks' time to see how it's working. Doc says that it's fairly common as you get older. I feel a lot happier now that I have a diagnosis, so I'll see how it goes with the iron! ( so, it's now 10 different types of pills a day )

Sounds like fairly good news Dave. At least you have a diagnosis so meds can be tweaked as necessary.

Good news Dave, that should be controllable.

Hi Dave
Hopefully the pills and diet will soon have you sorted.

Thanks all!
Only been taking the tablets for a couple of days, far too soon to notice any difference, but a lot happier in my own mind, having an answer to what was wrong.................
Dave

When these new high strength pills start working, would we be ok to refer to you as 'Iron Man', instead of Dave ?

Great news Dave,
I had a problem of feeling tired all the time, like you had a blood test . Now take an iron supplement every day and feel much better.

I have to say that I'm beginning to feel a bit better ( probably psychological! ), so much so, that I might actually get back to the bench - the Kawasaki 750 has been annoying me, it's almost finished, so I will finish that. The Sd.kfz.7 still needs a lot of work, so I might put that on the backburner for a while, and have a go at the HobbyBoss Sabre. That's a very simple model & more a painting & decalling exercise - I might even see if I can brush paint it.
