I know this has been up before, but I feel its time to hear what some of the new members miss in those small boxes with bits of plastic in.

To start off I was having my weekly check on fleabay for a Fairy Gannet in 1/48. A 100 bl**dy quid! Obviously a supply and demand thing. This lead me to ask myself why don't some one pick this up, and then I thought Its time for this old chestnut to pop up again.

So what kits would you like to see kitted in plastic and in which scale? Lets try to keep it (mostly) serious, as you never know who is reading these kind of posts...

Fairey Gannet In 1/48 in a new tool and not a re-pop of some other offering.

A 1/48 Skyraider AEW i with a option for the Royal Navy ones. And not a re pop of the thing from ESCI.!

A WWII Scammel tank transporter in 1/35 I know I Said it before but I will say it again,

RAF ground support vehicles in 1/48 and maybe some RN ones as well. I am sure a maker could make a killing on those.

Why is there a distinct shortage of British Tanks in 1/16 scale??? Come on how cool would a 1/16 Valentine, Honey or Crusader be?

I am also hoping that a 1/200 HMS Hood is on the drawing board. We got the Arizona, then the Bismark......

So whats missing from your wish list.

1/32 Scale : Tornado GR4, Hawker Typhoon, Hurricane MkI/II/C/D

1/48 Scale: Lancaster, B-17 F/G, B-24 D/J, Sepcat Jaguar, Do 17Z, Bf 110 G4, Do217 J/M/N/P

1/72 Scale: VC10 C/K2/K3

You have not seen the Kitty Hawk Jaguar then Al. At the moment there is only the French version, but the RAFs one is hot on its tail. There was also a mention that Italeri have one on the way, but not seen any thing on that for a while...Hmmm. When the Kitty Hawk Jag hits the shelves I'll be having one. (even though I have two from Airfix still in the stash!!)

You might of missed my point that its things that have not been released in plastic...yet. Reading it again, it might be a bit confusing but I did mean new kits. :-/ Sorry

Ian M

All the ones i mentioned either have not been released in plastic or require new tooling versions as they are old and/or raised panel lines. As for the Kitty Hawk Jaguar. Not read a review or even seen a kit of one yet. so didn't know about them lol

OK that makes sense then. It wouldn't be the first time I have been mis-understood

If they do a new bells and whistles Lanc in 1/48 Even I might be tempted....

I miss a brand who dares with part of our world history...

The first and second war is starting to bore me...

Catapults, medieval castles, Roman empires, pirate ships and his maritime ports, vikings and mythological Greek beings.

A special edition of figures like that must be seriously genial!!

That's what I wish to build on 1/48 or 1/35!

Maybe it's not your perfect suggestion Ian, but I'm talking very seriously. ;)

I'm still waiting for the 1/48 Bristol Beaufort and Fairey Battle promised by Special Hobby ages ago.Like Allyne,I'd like a new tool DO17Z in 1/48.And I'd love a 1/48 Avro Manchester.Sanger brought one out last year as a vacform kit.Not sure i want to tackle another vacform though. How come Airfix have never done a 1/72 kit of that aircraft?.

I`d like to see, in 1/35th....

Conqueror MBT

Bedford MK/J.

Bedford RL

FV432 Series

Stalwart

Saladin

Saracen

Ferret

Fox

AEC Militant Mk1/2

As you have probably guessed, I model British vehicles, and as nice as it is to see all these WW2 vehicles turning up in plastic, I was a Cold War Warrior and would like to model the vehicles I used and abused from that period ie 70`s-80`s.

Sadly an empty space in the majority of model manufacturers lists and future plans.

Purely for personal reasons.

Kawasaki ZXR750 H1

(In actuality I'd settle for any of the variants up to the K model but preference world be first gen)

Crazy thing is, there's no reason there isn't one, it was a massively popular and influential bike and many less interesting bikes have been made into kits.

I would love to see an updated 1/32 Me 110G Night Fighter. I know that Dragon do the E/F version but since the Revell release all those years ago that particular model has not been addressed. One that has been mentioned and is in the offing a 1/32 Lancaster, but at a realistic price and not one that will cost an arm and a leg.

As far as 1/35 goes

RAF WWII refuelling tankers

Just a thought: has the Spruce Goose ever appeared in a kit? That could be quite an epic build, even in 1/72 scale.

Don't know if it was plastic or resin, but Minicraft did the Spruce Goose in 1/200 and that came in at 19 inches across the wings.

All in 32 scale new toolings of:

Hawker Hurricane

Hawker Tempest

Hawker Typhoon

Westland Whirlwind

Spitfire Mk1

Hawker Sea Fury

BP Defiant

Mosquito

Fairy Battle

A couple of nice colourful French and Italian WW2 types.....

- from any major company, Hassy, Tammy, Trumpy, ZM - just not Revell..........and why on earth doesn't Airfix get into 1/32 now they have their act together.....

OK - I want it all and not a snowflake's chance in hell.....

How,s about a boeing 737 in 1/72 after all they did concorde in that scale or any airliner come to think of it

Cheers Peter

i would love miniart to do some whole buildings rather than just facades with obliterated backs

Okay I'm begging for a 1/48 Ju388 and a Do217K or M and throw in a He 111Z ! As for the 1/12 Moto's a 85/86 GSXR750 is direly needed along with some TT sidecars!!!

I am currently working on the 48th scale Ar-234 B-2/N. Modified for pilot and radar operator as well as added some panel wiring, I can't wait to see how it will look once together...

Allyne - they may be cheap but I would rather pay three or four times the price for something that is well engineered. Their Arado 196 was good, I agree, but that was clearly an exception and a fluke.

Depends on what you class as well engineered. I have the Revell He111, Ju88 and He219 1/32 kits and to me they are more than enough for my modelling skills and budget. I cannot justify spending more then that on kits
