Good old Johnnie Walker (i make it). Excellent build Ole. Just one slight thing and please forgive me if it's out of turn. But you missed the exhaust stain off the inboard section of both outer engines ;)

And so you should be pleased Ole. A very nice example of a Lancaster.

Yes that is a very nice job Olly. Finished mine just before Christmas it is a big job & there are one or two trickey parts to navigate.

Not seen a Lanc with yellow wing tips does any one know the significance.

I do not know if you have considered it Olly ? I fitted the aerial rigging on mine. It is quite extensive & I think brings the aircraft to life. Down side is that Grandsons find it easily.

Ole the rigging is easy no worries if you can build such a nice model.

Some knitting elastic & CA glue. I just touch a spot with CA & then hold the thread against it. If necessary a bit of heat from a hair dryer. Not direct otherwise you will chase the thread away.

Also used the CA to form a blob to represent the tension fitting. Waiting for some non "blooming" CA to experiment & make sure it does what it says. Also some times drill a small hole & push the thread through.

I remember hearing about this on a "WW2 pilots tell their stories" type program ages ago, i checked on the t'interweb and my memory worked !! :)

They were markings to help in flying in formation, apparently (and this is off a web site) the yellow wingtips and tails were an experiment by No. 1 Group in 1944
