fancy doing a plane for a change....going to try something simple....i hope lol


still not sure what paint ive got to use........from what ive read they were aircraft that were originally destined for RAF use and were in normal green/brown uppers and either a light grey or pale blue lower

should end up like this......

well, im not too sure about the brown, its what the paint conversion thingy came up with, hopefully when the matt coat goes on it will tone down a bit

Which paints are you using Paul? The Airfix offering suggests Humbrol 119 Light Earth (lighter than the usual dark earth used on RAF schemes). Besides, that will as you say, darken down under a varnish. Looks great by the way, very nice work.

i only use Vallejo Air and when i converted humbrol to vallejo i had a choice of three browns but this was the only one the shop had so i didnt have much choice lol lol

Looks nice. My first (and only) P40 was the academy offering. I like it, good detail for the price.
