That is a cool and odd looking jet! great job. What's the deal with these aircraft, what role do they cover?

Cheers

Excellent build Ian , it looks great . The different shaded panels worked too , it just breaks up the monotone grey a treat. Its a weird looking aircraft though , reminds me of some sort of basking shark!!View attachment 117122

Nice job Ian. I also like the way you've dealt with the monotone scheme. Nice and subtly broken up. One question though. What the heck is it?

Excellent build Ian.

Nice colour and fantastic job on the panel lines.

Very, very nice Ian, the only one I have seen built and great as well.

A little info about the Beoing X-32

In 1993 the Americans wanted something that could replace the F16, F18 and Harrier's they have. So they had a competition to come up with a stealth type light aircraft to do the job. The top two companies were Beoing and Lockheed Martin.

Beoing came up with the X-32

And Lockheed Martin the X-35

And as you all know the winner was Lockheed Martin with what is now called F-35 Lightning

A strange looking aircraft I've never seen before. But funnily enough, looking carefully at it, you can see little bits and pieces that look very similar to other aircraft. But the build, yes very nice. As others have said, good job on tackling that mono colour scheme.
