papa 695s Academy 1/48 P38 Lightning.

Hi Ian, this is a beautiful kit and mine went together pretty well. Looking forward to your build. The boom configuration and the windshield are totally different from the J's

Cheers,
Richard

Made a start on this one, got the cockpit put together and added some wiring for the radios. Going to put some paint on it now.

Also started the booms, they lack any internal detail, so I’ve made some grills for them from some engine cover grills from the Scorpion tank I did a bit ago.

Just about got this one ready for painting, just need to fit the nose which now holds 25g of lead to stop it being a tail sitter.

Hi Ian
Rather late to this - sorry. Looks a nice kit. Excellent job on the cockpit. The radio wiring, seatbelts and intake grills were definitely worth the effort. Look forward to the painting. Are you going with the box art? I like the look of the wavey line between top and bottom :smiling2:

Done some work on this one, using the hairspray technique, but I think I’ve put too much on.

Think I may need to start again with the painting.
Give it a few days to thoroughly dry Ian and then mist on a bit more green , i reckon you should be ok . Cheers tony
