Sorry for the late reply Ole. I just use the flory and Vallejo weathering washes

Looking good Ian , great painting of the tiny details. (although how you do it with the brush in the pics is beyond me LOL!!!) cheers tony

Thread owner
Thanks Tony you should see me when i get the 2 1/2 inch brush out Ha Ha

Ole just been looking at Ajays coal burning truck and what he's done with the oils is just fantastic , looks like i may try some of those for weathering

Ian

if you want any help with the water effect just let me know and I can help you out, this ship will look fantastic on the open sea

Chears Mike will do, i was going to hopefully try and display it on the open sea, never done a water affect before

Very nice Ian, it's looking good mate.

Regarding the water, I used clear silicone for my recent PT109 dio. Worth a thought and would work really well, particularily on this model.....Bows dug in, plenty of water flying around....Wonderful!

Good luck whatever medium you choose, but have a practice first though, eh? I did, more than once! lol

Cheers,

Ron

That looks really great Ian job well done.

Hope I am not to late but if you are using silicon sealer, you can protect the kit with some kitchen film/sandwich wrap.
