Papa695s Gillow’s Spitfire MK1

Well that brings back memories!
I wonder in my sail plane has landed yet? :D
I will look forward to watching this when the time comes.

Following with interest. Building and flying model aircraft is my other passion. If you can get it to fly I will be very impressed.

I'm not sure I've ever seen one of these Guillows kits built Ian, so this is going to be interesting.

That’s not filling me with great confidence Steve, but I know it will fly, if only once. HaHa.

Made a start on this one, first of all I made sure the plans were nice and flat, then covered with some grease proof paper so the parts wouldn’t stick to the plans.

Well I didn't realise that pinning the parts onto full sized plans was the building method. This is interesting. You look very organised.

Well now, those decals don't look too bad ! I'm guessing this is quite an old kit ?

Cheers Jim, I do look organised don’t I. ( Emphasising the look )

This build has definitely got my attention, already starting to see the tricks of the trade. I am totally in the dark about kits of this nature, so a dumb question: Is the tissue for the wings and fuselage if so does that mean you have incorporated all the struts too ? This is impressive stuff to me 👹 . Devils work.
