I’ve just painted one side of the ship, to see if I can get the plating effect. I need to touch up areas that don’t have it, but I think this looks ok.
What do you think. All criticism welcome.

I think that's really good going to paint all that on there, thought it stood out a bit much at first but in the pictures there seems to be a bit more daylight on the back end and it actually blends in really nicely :thumb2:

Some kind gentleman has pointed out to me I’ve made a boo boo with one of the decals. I’m putting it down to a senior moment, but I will sort it out.

Yes No.1 put on back to front. That's what happens when your not concentrating and talking to the wife while decaling.
HI Ian exscuse me an i may be wrong but to me Its also in the wrong place on the deck from what i can see of your ship plans an this is not critisuim just an observastion but you are doin a grand job on this build SO DONT WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO CHANGE IT an its a pity it was not in 1/96 th scale cor what a model that would be but keep up the good work

Yes the whole black line and two boxes are one decal, it need turning around so the boxes are further away from the bow of the ship.
Still looks good to me Ian.
