I don't have a good record with Eduard kits...... Tried 5 binned 4 completed 1.......so let's see how this one goes
Always had a thing for jets 1950s to 70s.......just bit more interesting than today's stuff

Well, here's hoping it ends up 4-2 then. I've liked Eduard - now Revell .... no joy there yet.

4-2 , they think its all over - it is now ! Yes hopefully the score ends up 4-2 this time paul . I really like Eduard kits , havent had a bad one yet and the reviews for this one were favourable when it was released . I had the newer tooled ( 2010) Airfix mig 15 but sold it on as it had all sorts of problems

EXSCUSE ME Paul but why did you have to bin 4 models ? as i cannot consive why ? were they a terrible fit or such ? an yes sir you think like i do i love the 50's to 70's planes as yes they were more instrestin now its all stealth an low caste decals as ive got a big 1/32 F16 to build sent to me by airborne which was very nice of him but this F16 HAS got them low caste decals an ive never liked them but it will get built after ive finished my hustler

As I remember, cos it's been quite a few years, they were all bad fit issues...... I clearly recall a fokker eindecker that was very bad

OK Paul yes i understand now not braggin at all but ive never binned a kit yet but i came close to it with a 1/48 JAGUAR kit made by kitty hawk kits an that was a terrible fit but i got out the mini dremel with a diamon cutter fitted an cut away the bad parts where the main undercarts should have fitted but i got it built with lights an it now stands on my mates sideboard all lit up an he says it looks fab so he's happy with it so good came out from a bad fit kit after all
ATB SIR

Nice. Does that really have 3 underwings, not 2 or 4? Looks straightforward, with a big old weight up front, because that tail looks heavy.

Yes..., it threw me too til I read the instructions..... Seems one variant has a slightly different underside to one wing

There's three wing lowers in the kit...... A starboard lower, a port lower and a port lower for an aircraft specifically used in Korean conflict which seems to have one tiny little extra bit that you wouldn't know if it wasn't pointed out and can't be seen cos it's underneath

The wabbit will remind me lol

Well I did say this might end in tears

Fuselage is warped and the cockpit doesn't fit properly, which is probably my fault somehow.... So this is back in the box and will get bodged into a whiff at some point

I very much doubt I will ever buy another Eduard kit again, never had any luck with them

Off to look for another MiG kit

So it goes sometimes

Your bad experiences with Eduard kits is interesting. Everyone raves about them, but how often do you see build reviews? While I've got any number of Eduard brass sets, I find them very finicky, even over-detailed for what they are
Likewise with 'name' kits, I've seen rave reviews of Meng stuff, and heard a few horror stories about how the kits actually go together. Or don't, in fact
