Same as Mk1 and Chris.Although I don't have ANY time for modelling at the moment.Moved house in Feb and am spending all my spare time doing bloody DIY!.So far I've decorated three bedrooms,put a new bathroom in, laid three laminate floors,put new radiators in and countless other little jobs to keep the misses happy.Should be finished in a couple of months hopefully.The good thing about moving is I've now got a garage in the back garden which I am going to convert into a hobby room. I've got a UPVC door and window that I'm going to fit in place of the up and over type garage door.And I will make a long work bench with the old work tops out of my kitchen.Can't wait to get modelling again. I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms!.Got a new Iwata compressor and Revolution airbrush I haven't had chance to use yet.

Pet hate? Well, love hate actually...........The summer!
This great time of the year gets in the way of modelling....I prefer to slow down until she's out of the way and dark nights are upon us...Then let serious kit bashing commence!

I have put down a grey rubberised mat under my chair now and small light parts show up and do not bounce far so the problem seems to be alleviated - unless it is pe or something that just pings off in any old direction!

It is that self admiration of seeing the joint go together & the levels of the fuselage level & no filler. God so clever am I. Then on release those finger prints so deep & clear. Any detective would be over the moon with such success.

Losing a small part INSIDE the model.
This can be made worse if the little beggar already has glue on it as it will undoubtedly stick in an inaccessible void. Earlier today a landing light lens dropped inside the wing of my DC-3. Several heart stopping moments and much vigorous shaking later I managed to retrieve it.

So ... my pet hate is that my eyes and hands don't operate the same as they did 20/30 years ago, modelling takes a bit longer and in shorter bursts before i have to recharge.
If i knew then what i know now and had fully functional body bits i'd be on a roll i'll tell ya

I had to actually break open the fuselage join on an Italeri AC-47 to retrieve a minigun from between the floor and the wingroot. I was not impressed at having to do this\ said:I know what you mean, I did this with a 1:72 Hurricane. I had to fashion a soft copper fishing rod thingy to extract it.
