The old railway work horse, I’m watching Peter
I remember these as a child living in London in the late 50s. There's quite a few parts for such a small model.
Although it can't be seen quite a bit of flash
Wow, a sixty year old kit…..not surprising it has flash. I remember it well in its Peco boxing but didn’t realise it was originally an Airfix release. Should be a lot of fun…..
Nice one. I will be watching this on! Be nice if Mini Art picked this up in 1/35. Must be hundreds of variants of them.
I just ordered some GWR decals so I just have to find right colors for it.
Might be an anachronism if you do Peter. They came out in 1948 and the GWR ceased to exist in 1947. Railway versions were in blood and custard livery I think, like this faded and battered example.
I'll pop in a watch this build if I may. I have memories of blues ones zipping around Portland Dockyard in days gone by!
I have started on the two piece cab and put the barrels together and painted the wheels

Well despite the kit's age and the flash it's gone together quickly and neatly.
All done I will put proper pictures up later came with two trailers witch was a bonus.
