discussion Plans for the hobby in 2026

Well for me its to carry on building.
Learn more, so far with pretty much with every kit or dio that I've built, I have learnt something new, be it about modelling, painting, weathering, scenic dio stuff, etc, etc.
Get better at weathering. I am getting better, but we can always improve more.
To experiment more, so far since returning to modelling, I've done 1/72 military planes and tanks, and 1/35 military vehicles, 1/12 bike, 1/144 mini tanks, 1/1200 ships and 1/16 figures, plus few small dio's. Experimented with various water effects, scenic ground cover, trees and shrubs, but theres still lots I've not tried yet. Eg: cars, lorries, civilian aircraft, maybe some 1/24 and 1/48 scale stuff.
But most of all to just carry on enjoying the hobby...

For me, it's hopefully back to modelling sometime, just don't know when. We sold our house and have moved out; now in temporary accommodation while we look for a new one which means that the bulk of the stash is in storage and I have nowhere to paint.

I'll be keeping an eye on the forum to see what you guys are up to.

I'm planning on doing some modelling for a change
I did what I usually do with hobbies by burning myself out, then locking it away for a time whilst I did other things.
To be fair I've been really busy with lots of different things but I'm going to make the effort to sit at the bench and get something done.
