3. 1937 International 300 C Norwegian comm.
4. 1937 Chevrolet captured in the Low countries
5. 1936 Chevrolet captured in the low countries

Got a few more to add to the captured softskins collection.......enjoy and join in if you like, this thread is open to one and all and is dedicated to "Captured and Repurposed" vehicles used by the Wehrmacht.

First up is a captured French Airfield water bowser....

Citroen Type 23 French, of course

Hi Tim, Glad you could make it. I hope others might contribute as I think it could be a very interesting and diverse subject matter............The Germans would use anything that would run to further their advances.

We've both seen that......remember the pic I posted on your Renault tractor build thread? They would have put a little anti-tank gun on a Grasshopper's back if they could figure out how to lash it down!! :tongue-out3:

Thanks Andrew.........I'm sure there are lots of kits out there that could be converted to "captured" and repurposed German vehicles. Not only that, but it would also be an opportunity to do a little modeling outside the "box"......That said, none of the vehicles I have posted are fictional, all have photographic corroboration in evidence of their existence. To me that's what makes it the most interesting.........doing the "research". :thumb2: Rick H.

A fine collection my friend. Its amazing how many captured vehicles the Germans used during the war. Hopefully there will be many more additions to this thread during the coming months

Rick. I have some bits and pieces of this one left wonder if I build this as a captured German truck? I would like to contribute to the cause.

Hi Lee, The only versions I have seen of the G-8-T in the Wehrmacht were 3 ton cargo trucks....usually tarped, but some with open beds. If you wanted to stretch the frame and scratch a bed for it, you would have a perfect candidate for a tissue paper tarp. :thumb2: Rick H.

Thanks Rick. I have a old Heller 1/72 Opel Blitz frame and bed I was going to use and try the tissue trick. Will that frame work?
