Yes, it's nag time!!

Starting to think about priming the KGV plus the PE. My go to primer is Mr Surfacer 1500 grey or black. Wondering if I need a more PE dedicated primer

I've primed PE and metal figures in Mr Surfacer and had no issues.
A wipe with some thinners to remove chip biscuit crisp finger grease will help.

Very good! What about cat prints lol

Cat prints aren't an issue, fur is though, I had a bit of cat fur try to go through my airbrush a while back. Another could excuse for dedicated modelling rooms.

Does not matter if the doors, shut, locked, bolted, barred one of the buggers gets in. Today had Rolf at my feet under the desk, fast asleep. Good job I love moggies

If he was only on your feet you were lucky….I’m sure you’ve seen this before…..

Just started using THIS stuff. Seems very effective. Just brush it over the metal parts and then primer over all. Good explanation video HERE

Always used cellulose based primer, such as Tamiya spray, Alclad grey, or Mr liquid putty (I think) 1500. It was originally designed to stick to car bodies, which are metal and flat, just like etched brass. Always worked so far.

Oh yes, Julie bought up a lovely scone and coffee a while back, made the fatal mistake of going to the loo. Hy presto Casper the magician made it vanish apart from the fruit lol

Always used this Bob .Mr Hobby metal primer .

Any primer that can 'stick' to a smooth, non-porous plastic, should also work on PE. As long as it is clean.
Alclad is a good one as it is nice and thin and dries very quick.
