HI can anyone advise me where an what make is a good razor saw to buy as ive been thinkin on my tomcat its a pity that the engines cant be seen as they are fairly detailed an id love to be able to cut a hatch with a mini hinge fitted so that it will open an closes so the engines can be seen if you can thank you

I’ve had a couple of Xacto razor saws for as long as I can remember. Excellent tools! They are very widely available. The higher the tip (teeth per inch) quoted the finer the cut is……

BUT Tim where didyou buy it from an how much ? please
 
JLC make saws with modified razor blades which create really fine cuts. Don't buy the one with the plastic handle though - try and find one with the original wooden handle.

THANK Dave i'll have a look but thinkin on jen says i bought some mini razor saws yrs ago as i can vaugley rmember them but findin them will be the problem unless i chucked them out as cant remember what happened to them but thanks for your reply sir

Now where I put that tool????
 
I second Dave recommendation. Blades are very thin and have very fine and fine teeth on opposite edges.

A pretty good choice here. I like the photoetched blade. both the once shaped like a razor blade, they are great for chopping things up. Ones like the Tamiya micro saw blades for cutting panels and things like rudders, flaps, trim tabs and all that.
