The snow landscape is very convincing. Well .... it all is but I like the ground work in particular. Well done that man.

Thanks Toto, groundwork is usually the hardest to pull off scale wise. Dirt in 1/35 is almost like dust. For snow which are made up of fine crystalised moisture in the air can be best simulated with micro-balloons but hazardous if breathed in and it's so light. I would have to spend a fortune just to cover this dio with it.

Thanks Jim, too huge that the enjoyment had to be revived many times just to get it done. No viagra for such a project I suppose just persistence.

Sorry for some blurred images...must have pointed in the wrong place of the touch screen on my HP to focus. The guy that's looking at the Bastone sign has a nice grin and it's not even a resin head. To save time I airbrushed the figure helmets and highlights on the uniforms and outlined the details with a dark wash ala Shep Paine style but not as good. Incidentally I got to see three of his works up close at the Tamiya HQ museum in Shizuoka... The 88 in the church ambush, Jeep arriving at the aid station and Israelis in Beirut with the Merkava.
