Right,I've ordered one but I'm not starting until these two pathfinders are finished! At least that way they can high light and fix all the problems for me.Keep up the good work lads!

Cheers

Steve
Nutter !!

Regards

Colin M.............

Gentleman I'm seeing it as a challenge. The last large scale kits I've built have been Tamiya (brilliant) and Trumpeter (not far behind) so this will be a back to roots experience. It's also not too expensive if it all goes wrong.

Paul's is looking pretty tasty, hopefully mine won't be too shabby,or end up in the bin!

We all love a Spitfire.

Cheers

Let me know when you are ready to go Steve and I will start mine to lol

Can I play?

I do love a challenge, and having a sadistic streak that urges me to go after old Airfix kits, it can't be much worse. Can It?

From Paul's photos it looks like it can be beaten into shape. It looks like it will be fine when he crosses the finish line. Well done Paul.

Everybody start building...................................NOW!

Re Stripes. They are not invasion stripes but were on the aircraft PK682,which I'm guessing we are talking about, whilst it was based in Hong Kong. I've no idea why they were applied.

I'm not a million miles off having it all together now and at the minute it's not looking too bad. Whoever gets one, know this - The wing roots are horrible, the nose is bent, absolutely bugger all fits nice and easily. However, it costs less than 20 quid and with a bit (no, a lot) of perseverance, it does come together. Want to get it sorted now and start the paint.

I have a cunning plan which probably won't work.
Come on then, what's the plan? Is it so cunning, you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel?

Mine arrived this morning, excellent service from John at the shop as usual. I'll have a look at it this evening and then start eating Weetabix to get my strength up!

Good to see the progress on these builds. It looks like evidence that the thing can be beaten into shape.

Cheers

I've had a look in the box....Mmmm. I don't know how far you've got decalling but don't put the underwing trestle location stencils over the roundels. It was forbidden for any marking to impinge on the national markings. That goes for walkway lines over the upper roundels as well.

Ok decals on, exhaust painted and weathered again and coat of klear. Only thing is i seem to have lost my front landing gear, i have a feeling its in a bin bag of rubbish still attached to the sprue, so im gonna hve to pop out in a bit and have a look.

A wash next then a satin coat and then the canopies and its done, thank god.
