All looking lovely Vaughan. You have noticed that the front props are different than the rear props haven't you ?

Yep sure did have done a dry fit with the nose cones. That's the fun with contra rotating props. ;)

I may not be as organised as you. I just fired off and sprayed the things, and then thought, hang on, what's this....

The next important thing is to ensure that the props are the right way round for the forward facing decals. Front and rear props do have different hub heights so I shouldn't make a mistake:oops:

Thanks guys. Decals still in progress it's going to take a while. So in the mean time I've finished off the props. Who invented contra rotating props? and at 72nd scale:eek:. Well they're finished and with a coat of Klear. Guess whats next? that's right more decals! I think I will start on those tomorrow and give my eyes a rest:confused:.

Thanks guys.. Well finally all 135 decals are down including the 24 on the props. My left eye is bloodshot from the concentration( drugs I'm on for my heart make me prone to bleeding) Next up is a satin coat and then adding the bomb bay doors and wheel bay doors plus the delicate bits.

She really looks stunning Vaughan, you must be pleased with the results especially with all the hard work and skill you have had to put into it to get it here. Really well done.

She looks lovely. I wonder, are you starting to think - what next, or maybe have a little rest ?

Thanks Graham, Colin I still have the Dauntless to finish. I have started the painting the're a few bit and bobs to do as well.

I've still got the Airfix Shackleton to continue with, still waiting to hear back from them regarding the photos I sent. I don't know what to think about modelling at the moment I suppose we've both had a bit of a rough deal with this build the latest issue I have is two of the windows have come unglued and fallen inside the fuselage and one has clouded over . Most of my models in my stash are, would you believe Revell kits albeit in 1/32 scale. I do also have a few Trumpeter kits. The Shackleton on the face of it looks ok but I know I could have made a better job of it. The urge to get it off the bench is very strong and this is making me rush a bit. I've not done any pre or post shading and no weathering as such which is not like me. So in answer to your question I might take a rest from modelling and return when I find a kit that hasn't got too many issues, definitely not at 1/72 scale Maybe even at 1/48 scale the Airfix Meteor looks interesting and that's a new tooling.
