Richard Wabbles Matchbox 1/72 Siskin Mk.111A

Nice progress Richard. It was well worth adding the engine detail, considering its prominent position.

Wabble,
Good to see the progress on this veteran kit, like what you have done with the 'mummy'
Cheers

Hi guys, sorry for not replying earlier, was preoccupied with getting ready to help the society in initiating a modeling club with a school. It went well and the school will start having seen that 84 students had put their name down to join.

Yes Colin, it's up front and center so the only part that's getting some extra treatment. As can be seen the cockpit detailing would be futile when closed up.
Mike, you'll see a further upgrade to the 'mummy' after the muslin cloth is unwrapped...

This is what you get when it's closed up...

I think I got the figure pose the way I wanted. Someone mentioned that his grimacing expression was like he was trying to squeeze some air out.

Yeah, who needs cockpit detail! Hmm, maybe I SHOULD start putting pilots in...
Yup, that's why I didn't spend too much time on refining the cockpit as I did in my RE8.
Pilot looks the part and with him in place nothing in the cockpit can be seen.
Yes...nada.

I did some putty filling sanding after joining the fuselage halves. While the putty was curing I cut the flaps on the wings and tail and repositioned them. I then glued the center struts to the front bonnet using the upper wing as a jig. I'll post the pictures later once I get it off the phone.

Cheers,
Wabble
