I have wanted to build one of these for a long time. It is the Italeari Sd.Kfz 2 Kettenkrad. in 1/9th scale. It has been released by various manufacturers over the years. The urge to build one increased after building the Zundapp from Italeari earlier that some of you may remember.

There are 6 large sprues, 1 clear sprue, I vinyl sprue containing the seats etc. 2 sprues of individual track links. A bag of springs and decal sheet for a choice of 3 vehicles.

I won't bore you with sprue shots unless you really want to see them.

First impressions on opening the box apart from the size of the parts, is there is quite a lot of flash some large deep ejector marks and soft detail.

I'm in for this one Scottie. I recently assembled the Tamiya 1/48 one of those and currently I'm working on an Italeri 1/9 Yamaha which seems to share some age similarities to your new project...

Progress is slow all the parts are showing their age and need a lot of cleaning up. The main tub is now assembled. I have added some weld detail and some detail to the towing hooks.



Next work has commenced on the right hand fuel tank and storage locker. A new battery top has been scratched as the detail was poor on the kit one. The cable clamps have been cleaned up and detail added. The battery compartment was made using plastic sheet. A fuse box was made and added to the front of the compartment and cables added.



Next the seal around the engine lid was scratched again the kit one was terrible then course cotton was added along with punched rivets to represent the seal.
