Not sure how old this clip is but I have just been had it passed to me.
The only time I worked on this sort of thing was in the RAF around 1978/80.I was a J/T airframe fitter in ASF at RAF Coningsby.I usually worked on Phantoms.But The Battle of Britain flight had a lot of work on .So a few of us were sent to help them out for a month or so,I remember being given a pile of STI's and SI's for the Shackleton and being told 'Have a read of those and go and do them on the Lancaster if you think they are applicable'!\ said:Yes Dave, If I had the chance to work on this sort of thing I would jump at it. Perhaps Duxford has volunteer workers ?
