Anyone know if this particular model is available anywhere?
I have done a search, but found nothing (unless I need Specsavers :D)

Bob,
one of those Airfix models that make a brief appearance, then drop out of production & go straight to collectors prices. I've done a quick scout, and there are several listed in the UK on ebay, cheapest being £46! The only places you'll find them is on auction, or pre-owned sites, unless of course Airfix decide to re-release it. Not the best of options, either of them!

thanks Dave.
I did rather like this kit with foldup wings etc. Guess I'll just go with the basic Revell Seafire kit i have on order.
I don't have the confidence to ad-hock it:smiling:

That got me excited for a moment Jakk0
unfortunately with the postage would probably be out of my price range
Thank you anyway, appreciate you looking

Kingkit has Airfix 06102, which is a Seafire FXVII ? Not the same model, but it’s a Seafire and has the wing fold.

The best bet is to keep checking ebay bob , ive been looking at getting one of these too and the prices vary considerably , I reckon you should be able to pick one up on auction for less than £20 if you keep looking . On a second point its considered one of Airfixs best kits and always looks superb when built up . Something else to look out for is the Grand Phoenix ultimate seafire kit . This is the Airfix tooling but with a few more decal options and a little bit of aftermarket stuff thrown in , because most people arent familiar with the name you might get it at a good price . Good luck with the quest . Cheers tony

Two of them are priced in euros, so postage should be manageable, I would think — you could always ask the seller how much it would be? The one in US dollars … I don’t think I’d even ask :)

Can fully understand why you want one. It is a great kit and builds very well.

Special Hobby have several nice Seafire kits in 1/48. There are Mks II, III and XV. They are readily available ranging from £18 to £22. You will find that John has some listed as in stock in the shop and MJW Models also have several (mjwmodels.co.uk) listed on their website.

Cheers

Bob is looking for a specific type that a family member had connections to during His time in the Royal Navy.

Better to try and help, and sometimes get it wrong, than not help, and never get it right Michael…….

Erm, dopy me again.
I can't seem to get to the last page now :confounded:
I have refreshed, still this page.
I hope it's not my PC or even me?

Or is this thread locked, it has been going on a bit for a newbie?

OK thanks
I could've sworn I noticed 3 pages at the bottom a while before this visit?
Helpful if I want to go back on something previous.
Oh well, live & learn :smiling3:

I've just realised. I noticed the 3 pages of posts on my smartphone.
If it's there why not my desktop?
