Have finally after 5 years upgraded my leaking metal 7 X 9 shed to a wooden 10 x 12 shed.
Have spent today reinforcing the door, fitting dead locks top and bottom and starting the insulation.

Going to be my new workshop come modelling area.

Keep looking at using the shed as a modelling room but its full of bikes, mowers and tools.....not to mention all the kids garden toys :tired:
Maybe my numbers will come up and I can have a modelling annex instead lol :smiling4:

Indeed, I have relocated all garden and kids stuff to a plastic shed the type used for bins usually bit does the job well. Have fitted new Yale lock and dead locks, which only I have the keys to, just to make sure no other things end up being stored in there.

Bit itchy now all insulation done but it's complete and first of two layers of ply is on the floor and screwed down, waiting for half a ton of ply from Wickes coming tomorrow to clad ceiling 5mm, walls 18mm and second layer on floor before tiling of 12mm.

Looking forward to it being completed!

So after plenty more blood sweat and tears and an insulation disaster I am somewhere near ready to start decorating.

Ceiling clad with 5mm marine ply, walls with 22mm MDF (was supposed to be ply but wicked supplied MDF and after carting it through to garden, all 15 1.2x2.4 sheets I wasn't changing it and took the refund and used it).

Floor has had 1 12mm layer on it and it getting another tomorrow before painting walls and ceiling and tiling floor.

Have also coated inside of outer walls with a waterproof membrane and put silica gels bags in all cavities.

Dehumidifier going and wood all seems to be drying out with humidity down to 60% and dropping by the day.

Just a thought, the silica will need to come out once they have done their job or they will sweat in the summer.

Finally fully clad and tiles ordered. Just painted ceiling and walls and put some high expansion foam in gaps left by poor carpentry.

Humidity now down to 43% as well.
