Following on from poor 'ole Colin M's problem of not having a model to build. This came about as a result of him not having a "stash"

Many "stashers" replied to Colin, telling him a "stash" would resolve his problem in the future.

Now here is the thing though.....what is the number of kits that actually qualifies as a "stash"...is it any number greater than just one????

Your thought gratefully recieved please...oh and lets see pics and hear about your "stashes" please...regards Martin.

Martin, hi there as to my stash well I have a few;- 1/48 me 262 Tamiya, 1/48 TSR2 Airfix, 1/48 YAKib Eduard, 1/48 Fokker DVII Eduard, 1/48 Horten Ho 229 Nachtjager Dragon, 1/72 Vulcan Airfix, 1/72 Raptor Revell,1/144 B2 Revell, 1/12 Honda RC166 Tamiya, 1/35 Tiger 1 late prod Tamiya, 1/32 Zero Tamiya, 1/350 Musashi Tamiya, 1/48 Spitfire Airfix. I think that is all ( my head hurts now!) plus of course the ones under construction 1/48 Lavochkin Zvezda, and last but not least, my accident prone Ducati Desmosedici 1/12, nearly done?

Is that any good, cheers mate.

Nice stash there Gareth, very nice mate. A 1/12th Honda RC166 and a B2 in 1/44th...now that is what i call tasty. I bet that Vulcan will be a nice on as well. Really looking forward to seeing the finished Duke mate, its ganna be a little corker i just know it.......keep that stash topped up bud...all the best Martin

Got a few more on the floor too - 2 FW190Ds, an Me 262, a P51 Mustang and my Honda Civic Type R + the stuff for the group build.

If I live to 200 I probably won't finish this lot!

Only one small detail im ganna have to bring you up on......i cant see a single motorbike kit !!!!!!! lol You need to add at least one to that to make it a real stash...all the best bud, Martin.

Oooooo these stashes are awsome. Allyne, ive spotted a few niceeeee one's in that collection,.......the Acadamy Lightning, Italeri Skytrain, all of them Focke Wolf's to name but a few.

I never really seem to be able to accumalate enough for a stash, I nearly always buy um and build um. How ever I do have a little stash of around 10-12 kits.

Seen some good ones in the stash photos though, Inspirering stuff this!

Well here it is my little stash. I do have around another 7 kits that are either under construction or else where for one reason or another. Im very fortunate to half the other half that has no problem with me collecting kits, im also lucky enough to visit model shows on a vey regular basis, where there are kits to be had a real bargin prices. Like some in sure there are kits in my collection i may never get around to make, but i also know i will contiue to add to the stash....why well i love this hobby and the collecting that goes with it, simple as that View attachment 17300View attachment 17301

a lovely eclectic mix martin,i like it! Like yourself ive got a sizeable stash but a lot of the kits were picked up for bargain prices, i suppose thats why its so large-even if its something i wouldnt normally consider,if its a bargain, i cant resist it!!if i get time i might get a few pics taken and show mine tomorrow, cheers tony

Ooooh, don't suppose you want to sell that Cessna Skymaster kit by any chance BB, lets face it, you've got so many there you'll never get around to building it :smile1: Not currently mentioning how many's in my stash by the way :hmmm:

Mmmm, I want the Honda CB750 to. Used to have a real one of those many, many moons ago.

Tell you how sad I am getting. I have just acquired a database prog for the Mac to create a database of my stuff. Not because there is a lot of it (well not by the standards above anyway) but simply so I actually know what I have got. I found a kit the other day that I didn't know I had (well, had forgotten it really).
