Looking superb mucker , i can see what you mean about not wanting to butcher the arma kit , they are beautiful toolings arent they .

I must admit I was thinking it was a bit special for that. The dornier looks great by the wayI've made a start on the damage to the tail section. I generally bent, twisted, squeezed and added a some extra tin foil - And then gave it the dog to chew.
The tin foil tube I fitted lent itself very well to being squished!
No fuel jettison pipe - Yet...
Also, I've had a look at the Arla Hurricane, Murfie kindly sold me, and there is no way I'm going to butcher a superb little kit such as this. So I'm going to build it 'Proper like', and hunt me, shall we say, an ordinary 1/72 Hurricane, which I can happily 'Modify' with no tears.

Don't worry 570, you'd only nail and screw it together, with the odd tenon joint.

Give or take a bit of tweeking and a bit of flying scrap ali',when I get towards the end, I've finished the Dornier. Thanks go again to Steve (stona) for all sorts of info. I hope I've got it something like, Steve?

Being 30 yr. old, the decals tended to crack and separate, but in the main I managed. Where I failed, I just scratched them down to the aluminium!

What's the thin part that sticks out of the fuselage on the starboard side behind the wing - I thought that was the fuel discharge pipe. Seems too far back to be a step.

Pete - I don't know. It could be some sort of antenna. I'm sure someone will be along to answer our question. You can see the thick severed fuel discharge pipe wot is now added to the wrecked part of the aircraft. It can also be seen protruding at the rear end.

Now read this 453 - There will be fire, well a bit of smoke etc. coming from the smashed port engine. Please note neither you, petrol, paraffin, dynamite, matches, Zip Firelighters (Other makes of fire starters are available) blow lamps etc. or that bird, are to come anywhere near this build.... Gorrit!
